Agua Fria Food Bank
The Agua Fria Food Bank serves many local families with food and clothing.
- Every month there is a large van with a huge sign in St. Peter's parking lot where donated food items can be dropped off.
- Over 10,000 lbs. of food and clothing from St. Peter's has helped 45,000 people in need during the year. Thank you to everyone for your generous donations.
First Saturday of the month is a great family opportunity for children to learn to serve by collecting food from local Fry's stores and sorting at the food bank. Meet at the church at 7:30AM and email Deacon Gay.
Please pray for all those who participated in the food program and pray that we might find additional ways to be of service this year.

Family Promise
Members of St. Peter's help support homeless families by providing hospitality, encouragement, and comfort to keep families together while they try to get back into productive life.
- Church classrooms are converted to provide safe space for families to stay and our parish hall is transformed into a large dining hall.
- Food, quilts, shopping at the thrift store, and general fellowship are shared during each week that the families are guests on our campus-approximately 3-4 times a year.
Volunteers and donations are always needed. The next session is July 15-17. Email the office if you would like to participate and share your talents.

Habitat For Humanity
St. Peter's has been involved with Habitat for Humanity builds for many years. If you like to hammer, frame, or feed and encourage, contact Michael Douglas.Next build is in September in Glendale.
Cooking For Kids
Every third Wednesday of the month, volunteers help serve dinner to the women and children at the New Life Shelter in Avondale. It's a great chance to interact with the women and play games with the kids. E-mail Jaclynn Anderson to help.

Peace Memorial
St. Peter's has built a memorial of crosses to honor the memory of lives lost in the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. Our hope is to bring mindfulness to everyone who passes by, remembering that the cost of war is real and devastating. Several times a year, we hold a prayer service at the Memorial. Pray for peace to prevail on earth.
Juvenile Justice
After a brief training session, volunteers serve on a Juvenile Probation Community Advisory Board.
- The Board meets at St. Peter's on the 2nd and 3rd Fridays to work face-to-face with first time young offenders of minor offenses.
- Volunteers help determine appropriate solutions and consequences that provide second chances for many young people who need a little guidance. Email Della Lelakowski for more information.
