Our ministries
At St. Peter's Episcopal Church, we believe in importance of community, and the call to serve those in need. Our values reflect our commitment to inclusivity, compassion, and the transformative power of God's love.
Highlights of our community in action
Ministry lies at the heart of St. Peter's. Our ministries embody our values and foster community, friendship, purpose, love, kindness, understanding, spirit, and provide us with a sense of belonging and space.
Veteran's ministries
St Peter’s has been involved in helping Veteran’s since 2016. We connect Veterans who need help to the community.
Feed the Vet's
Our volunteers prepare a nutritious meal on the fourth Friday of the month, while other Episcopal churches in our diocese cover the other Fridays.
Veterans Stand Down
A one-day event that offers veterans various services and goods, including dental work, haircuts, eye tests, blood pressure and blood sugar tests, tax services, clothing, and food. Over 300 veterans attend annually.
Native American Connection
We focus on a Native American ministry aimed at racial reconciliation, remembrance, and relationship building. We host events, invite Native American speakers, and collaborate with Indigenous communities.
We regularly collect items for donation to Native American Connections, a Phoenix nonprofit providing housing, behavioral health services, and addiction treatment to the Native American community.
Offsite Services at the Grace Center at La Loma
Sundays at 10am
We gather every Sunday at 10am in the Grace Center at La Loma Health and Rehabilitation Center, 14260 S Denny Blvd, Litchfield Park. This gathering is open to everyone, and we invite you to connect with us. Your presence is welcomed.
Homelessness ministries
I-HELP
Volunteers prepare dinner and breakfast for our overnight guests on select days. We provide shelter, showers, meals, and support, treating our guests like family. Help us acknowledge those often overlooked in society by sharing a meal and lending a listening ear. I-HELP website↗
Family Promise
We regularly offer, prepare, and share dinner with our hosted homeless families for one evening during their weeklong stay on campus. Additionally, we seek assistance with the setup and takedown of beds and areas for our guests.

Youth ministries
Children's Ministry (SP Kids)
Children aged 3 to 11 are invited to join us every Sunday morning at 10 am throughout the year. At the start of the 10 am service, children come together in the classroom to explore a core Bible theme through engaging response activities. Following this, they reconvene with their families in the sanctuary to partake in the sacred celebration of Holy Communion. Children may also choose to
work with story pieces or craft materials.
Nursery
Nursery care is offered during the Sunday 10am service.
Teen Ministry
St. Peter’s Youth Ministries invites all 7th–12th graders to join our faith journey. We meet Thursdays from 6:30 – 8pm for games and discussion, and Sundays from 11:30am – 12:30pm for Bible study and to explore deeper questions about our spiritual growth. Monthly in-person social events include movie nights, paint parties, and service opportunities.
Young Adults
We offer community, spiritual formation, and service opportunities for individuals aged 18–30. We support young adults through life transitions by building relationships, fostering faith, and equipping them to tackle personal and societal challenges.
Scouting America Cub Pack
St. Peter's is the supporting charter organization for Litchfield Park Cub Pack 7777. Supporting boys and girls from grades K–5th, the vision of Scouting America, formerly known as the Boy Scouts of America, is to prepare young people to be responsible, participating citizens and leaders
Prison ministries

Nigeria Orphanages & Churches
Through this program, we actively bring essential goods and support directly to people in need within the communities we serve. By partnering with local orphanages and churches, we ensure that the resources we provide are not only needed but are also delivered to those who can benefit the most from them.

Baby Gift Ministry
This ministry provides much-needed baby items to women in crisis. Monthly donations are delivered to the Crisis Center in Peoria. The gifts from St Peters and all donors provide relief for moms and necessities for babies. Gifts include disposable diapers, baby wipes, baby clothing, and handmade items.
Daughters of the King
Join this sisterhood of women as they extend Christ’s kingdom by prayer, service, and evangelism.
Men's Group
We meet on alternating Saturday mornings. Breakfast at 7:30am is followed at 8:30am by bible study. Come for breakfast, fellowship, and spiritual growth.
Altar Guild
Join our dedicated volunteers, whose ministry is to care for the altar vestments, vessels, and altar linens of the parish.
Music Ministry
St. Peter’s Music Ministry leads the congregation in song at our weekly services using songs from the variety of Episcopal Hymnals in the church and current contemporary songs by leading Christian artists. Music Director Mary Bennett and Cantor/Choir Director Diane Woodyard along with choir and praise band members tailor the music to lend to the different services we have each week.
Tech Team
Help us to run the projectors and digital mixer used during the worship services. If you are a "hands-on" person, you can help us ensure a great worship service.
